John Carr has practiced law since 1965 and is in charge of the Firm's corporate and securities transactional practice. He served initially as a staff attorney with the Federal Home Loan Bank Board in Washington, DC, and since 1978 has been in private law practice in California, specializing in securities law and SEC and Blue Sky compliance, bank regulation, mergers and acquisitions and executive compensation and termination. He has represented numerous companies in both public and private offerings of equity and debt securities.
John also attended Stanford University, and was Assistant Professor of English Literature at the University of Pennsylvania from 1974 through 1978.
